YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have an immediate need for a Data Warehouse Developer who has significant experience in development and support of Analysis Requests from business users. The role will receive and clarify analysis requests from business users, and develop and deliver solutions using tools from the Microsoft Business Intelligence platform and other Statistical Analysis tools as needed. A strong analysis background is desired for this position which includes research, technical analysis, reporting, data mining, data warehouse, report writing and analysis. Excellent communication skills, experience with building databases, designing reports and delivering business solutions to answer analysis requests are key activities for this position. This technical role is part of a Business Intelligence (BI) Data Warehouse (DW) Team that interfaces with other team members (DBA, System Admin, Architect, and Team Lead), other Technical Teams that manage Source systems, and business customers to fulfill day-to-day tasks and BI DW Projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct communication with business users to communicate about data analysis requests
  • Consult with business on data and analysis capabilities
  • Reviews and evaluates requests to develop or modify reports
  • Identifies data sources to fulfill report requests
  • Develop solutions in SQL and other tools to deliver specific metrics on business and client performance
  • Assist in creating original reports with proprietary data; reports are both ad-hoc and regular
  • Contribute to creative and quality design of surveys, analytics, and original reporting for specific consulting projects
  • Responsible for standardizing reporting across variety of contexts
  • Collaborate in the creation of enterprise-level recruiting dashboards and national-level benchmarks for scorecarding on talent recruitment, retention, and optimization
  • Collaborate with business teams in crafting of original, long-term thought projects and client-focused long-range studies of recruiting trends
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand, share and leverage the databases and database structures
  • Assist with the development/enhancement of the data warehouse architecture (ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Cubes, Reports, BI Portal, Dashboards) to support analysis
  • Assist with the report development utilizing Ad hoc queries or MS Reporting Services
  • Provide support for the data warehouse environment and determine root cause/corrective action on issues related to reports, ETL, and data requests

Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or significant programming in Microsoft SQL Server Platforms for BI DW environments
  • Strong analysis background includes research, technical analysis, reporting, data mining, data warehouse, report writing and marketing analysis.
  • Consulting and/or HR-recruiting background a plus
  • Excellent skills, experience with building databases, and designing reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in delivering solutions using Statistical Analysis Tools such as SAS, SPSS, and other data analysis tools
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Analysis, Segmentation, Predictive Modeling, Cluster Analysis, and the data architecture to support them
  • 5 years experience in SQL Server 2005; current on SQL Server 2008
  • Strong T-SQL knowledge developing complex cubes and stored procedures
  • Experience utilizing SQL Server 2005/2008, Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), PerformancePointServices
