Job Description
Accenture Technology Solutions is looking for Entry Level Associate Software Engineers in our Chicago, IL location to assist with the development, delivery and management of technology-based business solutions. You will work on coding, testing and implementing configuration changes and assist in the design of software applications to meet both functional ad technical requirements. As part of our global team, you'll work with the latest software and leading-edge development tools-giving you the opportunity to build specialist skills and expertise on the job.
Entry Level Associate Software Engineers will join as full-time employees and immediately be enrolled in a four-week Java Training Class which will be in our Reston, VA location. The training program is geared towards individuals starting their career in IT and covers the latest, in-demand technologies, including Java and Oracle training. During the training, you will deepen your technical skills and learn how, at Accenture Technology Solutions, you can use them to help deliver innovative solutions to Accenture clients. Combining computer based learning with group interaction, this training is a great opportunity to learn and network with other technology enthusiasts.
Continued employment as an Entry Level Associate Software Engineer is contingent upon success in this training class.
Must be currently located in Chicago, IL or surrounding area.
Key responsibilities may include:
• Supporting the technical design process by participating in the analysis of technical application requirements
• Assisting in implementing analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology
• Participating in implementing the technical infrastructure
• Assisting in the integration of technical and application components
• Coding and testing program modules; assisting in design
• Maintaining, tuning and repairing applications; providing user support
• Participating in execution and documentation of tests
• Executing conversion plans and documenting possible improvements; identifying disruptions in the processes
Requirements
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of one or more training/school courses in programming/software development including training in at least one of the following: C, C++, or Java.
• Associates Degree or 4-Year Degree
Professional Skill Requirements
• Strong interest in software programming
• Ability to work as a team member
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Desire to work in an information systems environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
