AKG Technician

Responsibilities and other duties

  • Reponsible for the incoming inpection and repair to component level, Dynamic and Condenser microphones, Tube Microphones and some Vintage Microphone technology, headphones, wireless transmitters and receievers, fixed and frequency agile RF Technology and In Ear Monitoring Systems.
  • Assist customers/service agencies with technical questions concerning product repairs and applications.
  • Maintain clear and organized records in service database.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Prepare test procedures accordance to ISO processes when necessary to inform the field of troubleshooting tips and repair details or modifications.
  • Performs work in a safe manner while abiding by the standards and practices of the company.
  • Performs general housekeeping.
  • Performs filling.
  • Performs special projects assigned by supervisor

 

Requirements

 

  • Must be knowledgeable with the operations and functions of various audio and video equipmente - be either analog or digital, including; amplifiers, mixers, limiters, graphic equalizers, active and passive cross-overs, digital signal processors, etc.
  • Knowledge of computer networking basics including LAN's, Ethernet connections, and IP addresses is highly desirable.
  • Must possess appropriate troubleshooting skills, use of the appropriate test equipment and soldering techniques, including surface mount technology.
  • Must be computer literate as required to carry out the basic functions of the position. Fluency in the use of Microsoft Office, Access and SAP are highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, team oriented and fast paced environment is essential.
  • Must be able to read and interpret circuit diagrams / schematics and other technical specification.
  • Creative problem solving and customer relations skills are must.

EDUCATION

  • AS degree in electronics or High School graduate with related experience


EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3-5 years work experience in related field with knowledge of FCC regulations as it pertains to wireless microphone systems.
