Function: Direct Sales Family: Business Development - Med Dev What Business Development - Med Dev contributes to CareFusion Business Development is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. Responsible for maximizing customer value/satisfaction by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives. Builds and maintains relationship with key decision makers or potential influencers. Involves a longer sales cycle. What is expected of you for success in your role - Demonstrates advanced knowledge of CareFusion and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation; demonstrates working knowledge of how CareFusion offerings match with a customers' unique business needs.
- Executes on business opportunities and maintains a pipeline large enough to support objective attainment
- Creates and executes an opportunity plan with occasional support and coaching to achieve consistent results
- Utilizes available resources within own business unit and looks for ways to involve other business units in executing the Solutions Sales Process

- Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with CareFusion both pre- and post-sales
- Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus
- Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships
Accountabilities in this role Demonstrate products (services) and assist prospective accounts to select those, which best suit their needs. Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, service obligations, etc., subject to the approval of the Company. Work independently in supporting, training and interacting with end users representing the Company's product lines. Follow up on all territory leads provided by the Company. Manage territory expenses within budget; provide timely and accurate orders/forecasts to management. Assist the Clinical Education Coordinator with short- and long-term sales, marketing and planning objectives for areas of responsibility. Provide reports such as competitive information and installed base estimates; call reports, travel reports, product complaints; quality issues; marketing intelligence, expense and others, as assigned. Keep the Company informed on competitive products, promotional matters, sales techniques, pricing, warranty and marketing policies. Attend trade shows; perform other assignments, which may include seminars, training sessions, support to clinical trials, etc. Qualifications Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years related clinical experience as licensed RT (Respiratory Therapist) or RN (Registered Nurse) Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnights Proven product knowledge in Respiratory and Ventilation arena Valid driver's license and clean driving record
