Description

Charter College, founded in Alaska in 1985, an accredited and growing career college offering certificates and degrees with locations in Alaska, California, and Washington  an immediate opening for the position of: DIRECTOR FINANCIAL AID  

 

Campus Locations:

  • Reno, NV (Online Campus)
  • Lancaster, CA

 

Relocaton Assistance is available.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee process whereby financial aid staff meet with potential and current students to apply for and secure financial aid to cover their educational expenses
  • Work closely with admissions to ensure quarterly enrollment goals are attained through effective packaging processes
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and training to staff to develop and cultivate team, ensure regulatory and Prospect policy compliance, and meet Departmental/Corporate objectives
  • Review and implement changes to SOPs developed by Corporate
  • Monitor cash flow and collection efforts to ensure campus is meeting collections (both cash and aid) goals
  • Collaborate with Prospect to complete various reporting requirements (FISAP, IPEDS, accreditation reports)
  • Accurately administer all Title IV programs, including loans, Pell, SEOG, FWS, ACG, and SMART
  • Manage FAFSA and verification processes for all students
  • Identify opportunities and present solutions to Corporate to automate processes and increase efficiency
  • Assist with the completion of annual FSA Audits

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years financial aid experience w/ 2 years in a management position
  • Excellent management, organization, and communication skills
  • Proven record of leading AND managing a team to success
  • Registrar, bursar, and/or admissions experience a bonus
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environment and motivate others in a team environment
  • Strong background, including internal audit or audits of highly regulated business (i.e., banking, schools, insurance, etc.)
  • Travel on occasion will be expected
  • Knowledge of CampusVue program desired.
