Plant/Facilities Engineer

 

Our client company is one of the world’s leading producers of manufactured casings with excellent growth potential, benefits and bonus opportunities. Our company is seeking to fill a Plant/Facilities Engineer position.

  

The Plant/Facilities Engineer will be responsible for executing capital projects-from conception through to installation & training, working closely with maintenance to find solutions to reliability issues & specify, purchase and install replacement equipment. A majority of the work in this role is manufacturing support.

 

The ideal candidate will have professional knowledge and a background in designing pump, piping or storage tank systems-upgrade work in utility type systems a huge plus! Looking for active hands-on experience.

 

Position requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of  3 years experience. Should have experience in managing & directly supervising to ensure quality of work and full value is being achieved from project work.

 

Looking for candidates with a stable work history, strong communication skills and able to handle frequent change and ever changing objectives in a dynamic environment. Must be a self starter with ability to work in small groups.



 

Requirements

Preferred Areas of Expertise:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering
  • at least 7-10 years of facilities and project engineering
  • Specifications & design of pumps, piping, motors or storage tank systems- preferable if related to the food, medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Hands on project management experience required
  • Experience with process equipment, capital projects and manufacturing support
  • Motivated, self starter with management or direct supervision experience
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work sufficiently in small groups
