Heart Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Account Manager for a sales position within our networking, telephony and security technologies organization.
The best candidate for this position comes packing an aggressive, competitive nature and a deep driving ability to hunt and build/maintain successful business relationships.
SUMMARY
Utilizing technical and professional knowledge, responsible for planning and carrying out selling activities including prospecting, qualifying, presentations, direct sales, contract negotiation, customer relations, and vendor relations. Develops and nurtures strategic account relationships to promote and sell technology solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.
- Generate, qualify, cultivate and close diverse sales leads,
- Responsible as contact manager with strategic accounts, teaming with inside sales to maintain strong presence with many others.
- Prospect, evaluate and embody sales efforts, including providing product information, contact database, negotiation and sales functions, and monitoring contracts. Prepare for and attend exhibits, conferences, meetings and other promotional leads enhancing brand image.
- Complete customer background information and a needs analysis in order to communicate and determine best solutions. Utilize internal CRM tool to distribute and disseminate information.
- Develop site surveys, plans and collate information through drawings, and photos for clear, concise field discovery data.
- Understand business needs and feature sets, such as flexibility, cost, capacity and economy of operation.
- Solidify customer confidence to overcome business and technical objections of prospective customers through thorough understanding of product features, financials and credit terms, and technological planning.
- Team with sales engineers to develop strategies and solutions from gathered data and scope of work. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees.
- Present, demonstrate and train customers on technology solutions sold. Must be technologically and business savvy.
- Respond to ongoing inquiries. Investigate and resolve problems related to sales transactions.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business Management, Technology, Sales or Marketing or equivalent from four-year college or university; or 3+ years sales related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of converged technologies and terminologies.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
-- Maintains a valid Drivers License.
-- Has the ability to carry an IDPR PERC identification and pass a full background check.

The position is Monday – Friday during standard business hours from our East Peoria and Decatur office and covers the entire Central Illinois Region. Compensation for this position is salary + commission + bonus(es) + benefits + expenses.
