HealthSouth is searching for Physical Therapist provides physical therapy treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, professional and federal regulations and guidelines. They will assess joint motion and stability, muscle strength and flexibility, muscular and cardiovascular endurance, and the ability to perform activities of daily living. They are experts in movement and function and focus not only on treating injuries, but also preventing them.
The Physical Therapist creates an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by providing patient safety and patient-centered treatment.
The position will include (but is not limited to) the evaluation and treatment of the following therapy areas:
- General Orthopedics
- Spine Therapy
- Foot and Ankle Therapy
- Sports Medicine
- Requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, caregivers, departmental and interdepartmental relationships.
- Requires competency in physical therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.
- Requires task delegation and supervision of physical therapist assistants and technicians.
- Maintains open and on-going communication with hospital departments to ensure patient, staff, and hospital needs are met.
Education, Training, Experience and License/Certification Requirements
- Must have current state license or certification; in states where licensing is not required, defer to state practice act.
- CPR certification preferred unless otherwise required by hospital policy.
- Successfully completed a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited therapy program
