Job Description 

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists with the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care. Responsible for staff development, Human Resource, regulatory and customer issues.

40 hour per week full-time night position.  The hours will be Monday through Friday 11 p.m. to 07:30 a.m. with some flexibility.  



ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ( Full Job Description may include additional accountabilities):


Tracks regulatory compliance to ensure staff has appropriate and valid licensure/certifications for assignments.

Monitors and ensures staff embraces CMC’s Standards of Conduct. Acts as a role model.

Assists in the development of department goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and standards of care which contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives.
 

Assists the manager with administrative and HR duties such as monitoring time and attendance, participating in interviews and hiring process, and assisting with performance appraisal process

Assists the unit manager in implementing and evaluating quality improvement/risk management/safety programs, keeps unit survey ready and up-to-date on regulatory standards

 


Job Requirements 

MINIMUM REQUIRED:

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or successful completion of sufficient units in Nursing to qualify for California licensure. Five years experience as a staff RN in an emergency department with three years of supervisor experience.


PREFERRED:
Bachelors degree in nursing.


LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:


MINIMUM REQUIRED:
Current California Registered Nurse License. Current BLS certification.


PREFERRED:
Current ACLS, PALS and CEN.
