Description
Our client, a prominent financial and banking institution located in Maryland, is seeking an experienced, pro-active Senior Market Manager for their Frederick, MD region.
The Market Manager will assist in leveraging the goodwill and success of the company to drive in additional new business. The position is designed to lead the growth in the Frederick region, one of the institution's significant market areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify, contact and earn the business of the key players in the market who would have the largest positive impact on the growth of the client’s business model
- Quantify and identify the total universe of target opportunities in the market territory
- Create a written Market Plan, and conduct a new business development campaign to contact, solicit and report on businesses in the assigned market territory
- Generate both loan and deposit business in the assigned territory
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on new business development calls on the company’s proprietary sales tracking system
- Assist Branch staff to open accounts, send out correspondence and provide follow-up operational support
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, and business development in the Banking Industry
- Experience directly in banking business development required
- Demonstrable ability to influence and persuade, to achieve desired outcomes
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Experience in community involvement in the Frederick, MD area
- Established professional relationships in the Frederick, MD area
- Proven success with building and leveraging local community and business relationships
