NATIONAL SALES MANAGER – PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS COMPANY
Our client is a well known producer of the finest quality hair products for the barber, beauty, and animal grooming industry. Additionally, the company distributes a line of consumer products all over the world, which includes personal care electrics and durables for use at home.
POSITION: The National Sales Manager will be responsible for national account management, overseeing rep groups, as well as selling direct to major mass retailers such as: Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sears, Kmart, JCPenny, Kohl’s, along with Food an Drug chains.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the promotion and sales of Hair Care Products within the defined market area. This will include both the geographic territory and any National and Key Account assignments, along with managing Rep Groups
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of current accounts. This will include overseeing the interacting with other functional areas in the management of the accounts
- Find and develop new accounts. Also, develop new applications in current accounts
- Execute strategic plans and initiatives outlined by the Division and Market teams
- Troubleshoot account issues and oversee issues between Customer Service and the customer
- Oversee the activities and performance of a Sales Coordinator and Demand Planner/Forecasting Analyst
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Business Degree Preferred, MBA is a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of successful experience with a proven track record as a key National Account builder
- The ideal candidate will come from any of the following industries: Personal Care Products, Personal Care Electrics, Beauty, HBA, OTC, or Houseware Electrics
- Can be located in any major airport city in the Midwest or East
- Must be highly motivated, and self-starter go-getter
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong computer skills
