Description
Atterbury Job Corps Center is a residential voluntary education facility for at-risk youth, located just off Hwy 31 in Edinburgh, IN. Atterbury Job Corps is currently home to 550 students in pursuit of a high school diploma or GED as well as certification in a trade of their choice. Our recreation department is instrumental in providing fun, team-building activities for students after school hours and on the weekend. We are currently seeking a part-time recreation advisor to help faciliate activities on and off campus.
Job Duties: The following are duties required of a part-time recreation advisor:
*Assists the Recreation Coordinator in planning and conducting the Center’s Recreation/Avocation activities.
*Organizes and supervises students’ recreation/avocation activities.
*Provides instructions and coaching to students in developing and improving their recreational/avocational skills.
*Supervises students at off-Center recreational/avocational activities. May be required to transport students to and from such activities.
*Ensures students accountability. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
*Some computer data entry may be required.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate and 2 years experience in recreation. College level education in recreation may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis. Must be able to meet the Center’s driver’s license standards and to transport students to and from recreational activities
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
