Be a part of our team as a Database Analyst; a role that is critical to the CHC organization in order to ensure proper computer operation so that business tasks can be accomplished successfully.
As a Database Analyst, you will be responsible for executing specific assignments that involve reporting writing via our Electronic Health Record, Practice Management Systems and accounting systems. The position will also be directly responsible for creating and implementing CHCI dashboards for quality improvement projects. The Developer must possess a set of technical skills and knowledge regarding database and report development that enables them to be functional individually or with a team.
The individual in this role will:
· Have ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the clinical and management teams
· Have in depth experience with data architecture and modeling
· Be an expert with SQL, Mysql databases
· Analyze in detail functional business applications and design specifications
· Be responsible for all technical tasks related to Cognos Reporting
· Be responsible and accountable for dashboard definition and implementation
· Be responsible for managing Cognos Environments for code development and code promotion
· Be responsible for providing effective system solutions for technical issues identified during and post development phase of report/dashboard roll outs.
· Be responsible for active participation in testing to provide solutions for the critical issues
Qualifications:
· 3 + years experience with Cognos BI solutions (version 8.0 or later) in both front and back-end components.
· 2 + years of experience working with Mysql and Microsoft SQL
· 2 + years demonstrated experience with formal data warehousing architectures and meta data management is required.
· 2 + years experience in an Data Warehouse environment with knowledge / experience in one or more functional areas (Clinical Data, Finance, Funds Management, etc) is strongly preferred.
· Experience with integrating Business Intelligence with standard Portals such as IBM, SAP, Oracle, or open source is desired.
· Experience integrating Business Intelligence applications with Financial or CRM packages is a plus
· Strong understanding of basic design, user interfaces, and platforms.
· Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
· Ability to maintain priority and focus, yet flexible enough to alter when called upon
