Want to make a difference? Amatrol, a producer of learning systems for technical education, is looking for an International Sales Manager to join our growing sales team. Our products help people change their lives through better skills and education.
We develop and market comprehensive training solutions that include interactive multimedia, student learning software with simulation, printed student learning materials, and industrial quality hands-on training workstations. Our products are designed to enable clients to effectively teach technical skills in a variety of disciplines. Key customer groups include engineering and technology programs in colleges, universities, vocational schools, high schools and industry training centers.
Amatrol’s International Sales Manager develops and manages sales for all countries other than the US and Canada. Successful candidates will both manage our international distributors as well as any direct international sales.
Job Description
Reports to: Vice President of Sales/ Marketing
Scope of Responsibility:
· Set yearly sales goals for international sales and develop sales methods, channels, and distributors to achieve the goal.
· Identify and develop international distributors for Amatrol products.
· Review and monitor sales results and forecasts with international distributors on a monthly basis. Maintain accurate information regarding each sales opportunity and distributor.
· Train international distributor sales associates to improve their ability to sell Amatrol products.
· Deliver sales goals using most cost-effective means. This will require travel to various countries to make calls on customers and distributors, probably close to 40% of the time. Calls will include:
o One-on-one sales calls with customers
o Review and evaluation of distributor results and future marketing plans
o Interviews of potential new distributors
o Service calls-to review customer issues and planning course of action
o Familiarization / installation training (this is considered a low frequency responsibility)
o Entertainment-lunch, dinner, etc.
o Major presentations to groups and conferences
· Host customer and distributor visits to Amatrol’s headquarters in Jeffersonville, including entertaining activities, tours, and presentations.
· Prepare bids, specifications, and quotations to support all sales efforts to sell Amatrol products.
· Continuously upgrade personal skills by participating in internal and external professional training programs as well as self-study via Amatrol’s extensive training materials.
Other duties include:
o Create and/or evaluate sales materials
o Plan and attend trade shows
o Evaluate distribution coverage to add and/or strengthen territories where gaps exist
Reporting includes:
o Monthly Sales Report
o Active Projects Report
o Build Report
o Monthly Sales Bookings Report
o Monthly Budget and YTD results
o Comparison of yearly sales goals for each distributor with past 3 years performance and current YTD
Requirements
- Four-year degree. Engineering degree a strong plus.
- Three years or more technical sales experience (engineering / automation technology preferred).
- Travel approx. 40%.
- International sales experience preferred
- Proficiency in a second language a plus
- Must be willing to relocate to Louisville Metro Area
