Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE: BWP) is a Master Limited Partnership (MLP) engaged, through its three subsidiaries, Gulf Crossing Pipeline Company LLC, Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP, and Texas Gas Transmission, LLC in the interstate transportation and storage of natural gas. Boardwalk directly serves customers in 11 states and has approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and 11 underground storage fields with aggregate certificated working gas capacity of approximately 160 billion cubic feet.
Boardwalk is looking for a System Corrosion leader to work in our Covington, LA office.
This role is responsible for the direct oversight and implementation of all corrosion control programs for the natural gas pipeline including transmission, gathering, and storage. This position will be responsible for project identification, scope of work development, obtaining bids, and executing the following types of corrosion projects: 1) groundbed replacements 2) rectifier replacements 3) test lead installation 4) CIS remedial work 5) shorted casing repairs 6) testing shorted insulators 7) technical oversight of Gulf South Corrosion Technicians.
Requirements
Requirements: - 8+ years corrosion experience on pipeline operating systems - Strong knowledge of CP technology and CP systems - Strong knowledge of internal corrosion control systems and practices - Good working knowledge of groundbed replacements, maintenance pigging, and risk management practices - Strong computer skills - NACE Senior Corrosion Certification or Higher preferred
Ability to work in extreme temperatures if necessary - Ability to lift 50 lbs for minimum of 50 feet and average upper body strength -Ability to traverse muddy and wet conditions in both level and hilly terrain - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time if necessary.
