Job Description
Oversees the daily operations of a large industrial laundry facility in the processing and delivery of healthcare linens. Manages the development and training of the staff in efficiently producing a high quality product.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fiscal management of the costs and expenses in the operation of the plant. The ability to forecast expenses and budget the operations many cost centers and vendors.
- Handles the engineering upkeep and preventative maintenance of the equipment. Assuring the cost effective operation of the plant, while maintaining a safe work environment for the staff.
- Handles all human resources issues such as training, regulatory compliance, staffing, payroll and benefit administration for the entire staff.
- Direct liaison with the on-site client. Producing reporting, feedback and customer relations for the operation.
- Production of all internal and external billing for services provided, maintaining proper accounting methods and account receivables with the client.
- Produces weekly reporting for Weekly Operating Report, Key Indicators, payroll and Human Resource Functions. Able to read and interpret a P&L statement.
- Chairperson for plant safety committee and overseeing the regulatory compliance for all required agencies. Knowledgeable of OSHA and JACHAO requirements.
- Liaison for all Joint Commission, Linen Review and operating Committees within the faculty and hospital group. May be required to chair a committee.
- AAbility to attend and document laundry surveys for potential Crothall Healthcare Inc. clients. This understanding of production costing and laundry design and development will allow foe exposure to a variety of operational methods.
- Forecasts annual budget and works through budget approval process with Regional Manager and Senior Vice President.
- If capacity is available, the ability to develop and grow new business within the facility. Able to forecast business costing, improved profitability and return on investment of new businesses.
- Forecast capital expenditures and manages installation and operation of new equipment.
- Develops action plans and develops plans for the current management team, assuring their growth and success. Must be able to handle succession planning for his/her position to be able to successfully develop a corporate culture as job opportunities take place.
Job Requirements:
- BS/BA in Management or equivalent work experience; minimum 5 years operations/management experience - preferably laundry operations with large-scale plants in management or commercial field.
- Spanish language skills a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Exhibits imitative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
- Posess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
- Ability to use knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives.
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
