Job Description

Essential Duties:

 

Contacts insurance companies and employers to obtain benefit information and /or patient eligibility information

 

Maintains group benefit and account insurance information.

 

Supports facilities and corporate office staff with needed information to promote accurate estimation of insurance benefits and patients’ costs.

 

 



Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Ability to comprehend and interpret dental and insurance terminology.

 

Excellent verbal and written communication.

 

Data entry skills with high level of accuracy.

 

Mathematical aptitude at high school graduate level.

 

Proficient in the use and application of various PC and computer applications, including the internet.

 

Willingness to continually learn and improve professional skills.

 

Ability to work with others in a team environment.

 

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Ability to operate office equipment to include printer, telephone, copier, fax, and a calculator.

 

Minimum of one year dental and/or medical insurance experience.

 

Insurance verification, dental terminology and/or data entry experience is preferred.
