We are preparing for the 2010 construction inspection season and are seeking experienced transportation inspectors for projects in various PennDOT districts within the Commonwealth.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Inspection of major roadway and bridge projects; testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
- Calculation of quantities for estimate payments
- Review of construction schedules, and follow PennDOT documentation procedures
- Oversee, inspect, monitor contractual field work, CDS/NextGen operations, schedules work and inspection phases
- Recommends changes to construction plans to meet field conditions and provide project cost saving
- Maintain project records, prepare work orders, and monthly estimates
Requirements
High School diploma. Minimum1 year of transportation construction inspection experience. Certification in at least one of the following: NICET, NECEPT, ACI / PCPC, and CDS / NextGen (field office).
