This is not your typical Supply Chain or Project Management position! If you have 2-4 years in a supply chain position as well has managed projects please continue reading and apply! The Supply Chain Project Manager position reports to Director, Supply Chain Development. This is a hands-on position, working to define, implement, and support global supply chain solutions primarily for Planning and Order Management functions, but also Distribution, and Logistics.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage and deliver process and system improvement for short term projects.
- Lead and facilitate requirements definition process across multiple business functions, with limited supervision
- Develop and implement solutions to meet defined business requirements, indirectly managing teams of varying size
- Manage and deliver projects largely independently, escalating issues as needed, to ensure on time delivery
- Manage training and change management aspects of projects, and provide ongoing business support as needed
- Maintain currency on supply chain best practices and industry trends, and identify and act on opportunities to leverage within the business
- Perform detailed, complex analyses and provide actionable recommendations on an ad hoc basis
Requirements, Knowledge and Experience - Required:
- Take ‘one line’ requests and developing them into creative, practical solutions that deliver measurable results
- Facilitation of design workshops, and gaining alignment, across multiple business functions to develop detailed functional requirements
- Work with limited supervision, in a fast paced matrix environment
- Strong team player with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal relationships with all levels in organization, typically up to a Director level
- Relevant experience in supply chain management, with a broad understanding of the end to end supply chain
- Project management experience
- Must be familiar with system implementation methodologies
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and systems is required: demand planning and forecasting, inventory planning, capacity planning, order management, supplier collaboration
- Must have demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be analytical, detail oriented, thorough
Requirements, Knowledge and Experience – Preferred:
- I deal candidates would have prior experience in footwear and apparel or similar consumer products industry, major consulting firm experience, international experience, and planning and order management software is a plus (e.g. Sterling / Yantra Order Management, Oracle ASCP, Demantra, JD Edwards AP / Numetrix, Infor, i2, SAP APO, Logility, Manugistics etc.)
- Prior experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One software is a plus
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools is preferred (e.g. Cognos, SAS, Business Objects, Microsoft BI)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel is preferred
Education Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree required: preferred concentration in engineering, operations management or IT.
