Description

Astronautics Corporation of America, a world leader in the design and manufacture of avionic systems, has a challenging opportunity available in our Engineering Department for:

 

RELIABILITY ENGINEER

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and drive a multi-disciplinary team to implement improved FRACAS, RCA, and 8D corrective processes
  • Provide strong multi-disciplinary team leadership for other engineering and manufacturing product reliability improvement initiatives
  • Develop, and lead statistical analysis initiatives to identify and facilitate continuous improvement activities
  • Prepare reports, charts and diagrams to disclose results and highlight areas for investigation
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree required, preferably BSEE, with 5+ years experience in Reliability or Quality Engineering
  • Demonstrated history of strong team leadership with proven results
  • Strong statistical analysis skills with the ability to develop and lead statistical analysis initiative
  • FRACAS Experience required, FRACAS system development and implementation experience preferred
  • Demonstrated initiative to lead and drive multi-disciplinary technical teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement and preventative action
  • Must be able to organize, analyze and present data to management
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Must have knowledge of various statistical tool and electrical applications
  • Knowledge in avionics industry and military standards is a plus
  • Certified Reliability Engineer or Quality Engineer is preferred
