Enterprise Sales Associate
Waltham, MA

We are seeking a highly qualified Enterprise Sales Associate to help us build upon our industry-leading success and achieve our aggressive growth goals.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the primary responsibility of this position is generating sales opportunities in North America and Europe for our Asset Tracking (Industrial Manufacturing) and Merchandise Visibility (Retail) businesses. This individual will often serve as the “first impression" for the company with prospective clients.  If you are aggressive, tenacious, and thrive when presented with a challenge, we would like to speak with you.

Primary Responsibilities:

Day-to-day activities will be focused on developing a significant sales pipeline, including:

  • Acquiring new customers through extensive cold-calling
  • Setting appointments for field sales
  • Qualifying opportunities for field sales
  • Developing new business opportunities from marketing leads
  • Following up on inbound emails and web inquiries
  • Uncovering new opportunities within the current installed customer base
  • Identifying key influencers in the sales process
  • Maintaining sales lead information accurately and distributing it through corporate CRM solution
  • Testing and implementing multiple targeted campaigns

The successful candidate must maintain industry and product knowledge and be sufficiently prepared to answer product and solution questions necessary to qualify and advance sales opportunities efficiently.  We will provide ongoing training on OAT solutions, value proposition and market trends.

Working Relationships:

Internally, the selected candidate will work closely with outside sales, marketing and business development teams to develop and drive new business. Externally, the candidate will work very closely with potential customers in identifying and defining the business need in order to qualify opportunities from a time and cost/value perspective.  There will also be frequent interaction with partner companies in jointly developing new customer business.

As a key member of the team, the selected candidate will have a significant impact on the success of sales and primarily responsible for build a sales pipeline.

This individual will often be the first contact with potential new clients and as such should present themselves professionally and convey a sense of knowledge on relevant topics related to our products, solutions, value propositions, and broader market conditions and business environment.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 – 5  years experience selling enterprise software or services-based solutions, including cold calling, qualifying and follow-up, ideally selling software solutions in an inside sales or telesales environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tenacious approach to cold calling and lead follow up
  • Proven history of selling in an emerging market and creating demand
  • Ability to work collaboratively with outside sales in a team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate past individual and team sales quota achievement
  • PC literate, including MS Office, Outlook, and CRM suites such as salesforce.com, Goldmine, ACT, etc.
  • Proven ability to build and accurately forecast an enterprise sales pipeline

Compensation:

An appropriate compensation package will include a base salary and commission based on pre-defined team goals.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a field sales role if desired, upon demonstrated success over time in this role.  This position is based on-site in our Waltham, MA location.  Local candidates preferred as no relocation assistance will be provided.
