JOB SUMMARY: A professional development delivery model that extends specific training opportunities for both the classroom teacher and cadre member. Cadre members will provide on-site coverage for classroom teachers, co-teach, and receive professional development training.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree (B. A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university
LICENSE: Valid Indiana Teacher’s License in the areas of Special Education.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Present strategic and focused lessons in Special Education and other subject areas to positively impact student performance
• Provide classroom coverage for on-site professional development activities
• Support classroom instruction in a co-teaching model
• Mentor targeted students in both individual and small group settings
• Attend all required professional development training sessions
• Assist with District assessments including ISTEP, scrimmages, and benchmarks
• Assist with maintaining portfolios of student work to reflect progress
