The Senior Cardiovascular Information Systems Analyst is responsible for assistance in the design, implementation and maintenance of Cardiology Information Systems including systems for the Cath Lab, Echo Lab, EP Lab, Stress Lab, Cardiac Rehab, Cardiovascular Surgery, Perfusion, Women¿s Heart, Heart Failure, Research and Cardiology Registries. The analyst is expected to be a team member who assists with the implementation and management of a C-PACS system and works closely with other departments within the organization, specifically HIS, for optimal performance and communication of all systems. This position is responsible for the system administration and maintenance of the cardiology systems. The analyst works in collaboration with the HIS department on cardiology systems and network design. They also work collaboratively on implementation, system planning, security, training and troubleshooting. This position assumes an active role in the maintenance of all automated functions and sections of the cardiology department. These include, but are not limited to, scheduling, accounting, registration, report processing and distribution, physician interaction, image tracking, and quality assurance. The analyst will participate in special studies to assess sensibility of projects for automation. This position may require working at either campus.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of five years work experience in Cardiology Information Systems. Clinical cardiology experience is a plus.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact and communicate with other managers, vendors, clinicians and medical staff. Innovative decision making, excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to learn and adapt to change. General understanding of all imaging disciplines, admitting and billing procedures, as well as, fluency and knowledge of networks and image archiving/transmission management. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Cardiology computer systems and computer related devices. Must be multi-task oriented
