We are currently looking for a qualified Contract Loan Processor!  The Loan Processor's primary responsibilities include:

 

  • Processing loan files from receipt of the loan application to funding, by gathering and reviewing all pertinent information, and providing excellent customer service to borrowers. Verifies, compiles, and types application information for mortgage loans. 
  • Reviewing residential loan application file and documentation to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, title, escrow, hazard insurance, credit and title supplements, demands for payoffs, flood certs, and written verifications of employment.  Orders and follows up on underwriting and funding conditions and calls or writes credit bureau and employer to verify accuracy of information.
  • Correcting 1003 and 1008 forms to ensure consistency of information in the loan file.  Updates all borrower information in our proprietary computer system, CHLOE,  prior to loan documents being drawn.
  • Typing loan application forms and calls specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey, and appraisal.
  • Ordering and reviewing HUD Closing Statement prior to doc signing and sets signing appointments with borrowers.
  • Reviewing and submiting approved mortgage loan file to mortgage loan closer for settlement and obtains final funding conditions and submits loan file to funding.
  • Recording data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied.
Requirements Experience / Training / Education:

  • Strong working knowledge of current FHA product guidelines
  • Comfortable managing a high volume pipeline with multiple product types
  • Ability to work independently and be a self starter
  • Ability to self motivate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills: thorough working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Internet, and basic computer skills
  • Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction
  • Ability to interpret and apply required policies and procedures
