Description
  • Production Engineering Manager troubleshoots mechanical or electrical equipment issues and provides technical leadership and training to resolve same.
  • Develops, writes, implements, submits and/or presents various technical reports or CARs in support of cost reduction, new product, reliability, and safety initiatives.
  • Supervises technicians and junior engineers.
  • Motivate and inspire teams of 60 – 70 across 3 shifts to achieve the safety, quality, cost, and morale objectives of the plant. 
  • Must be able to teach and coach standard work, engage in continuous improvement exercises and participate in processes to remove waste.
  • Manage medium to large capital projects and develops portions of AOP.
  • Typically has technical responsibility for a group of departments or product line including the technical budget for same.
  • Conduct studies that determine the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow and recommends methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
  • Provides support in the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, plastics processing assembly and material handling.

 




 

 

 

 

Requirements  
  • Must have a 4 year technical degree.
  • 5 to 12 years experience desired.
  • Some management experience is required.
  • Experience supervising maintenance .
  • Continuous improvement experience.
  • Must come out of a lean manufacturing environment.

This position is not commutable from Houston or Dallas.
