Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Baldwinsville, New York


Specialized Packaging Group is a premier print manufacturer that provides a broad range of goods and services to North America’s largest consumer goods producers.
Due to Specialized Packaging Group’s continued growth and expansion in Baldwinsville we have an employment opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician. This individual will provide support and maintenance to a wide variety of complex machinery, and high-speed production equipment such as Bobst Flexo and Gravure printing presses, folder/gluer/finishers & ancillary equipment. The ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery with electrical schematics and blue prints is a necessity.
Requirements Candidates must have experience troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with AC and DC drives as well as PLC’s is desired. The ability to use basic machine tooling is a plus. Prior knowledge and experience with Total Productive Maintenance and work with printing presses is preferred. A Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited 2-year college or university or equivalent work experience is required. Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to make decisions in a changing environment. This position requires the ability to do shift work.
