As a Marketing Specialist and Customer Service Rep for an independent American Family Agent, you will be working for an agent who represents American Family Insurance products exclusively. Th Marketing Specialist would handle the agency's marketing program and contact insureds to further develop relationships and cross-sell. Some customer service duties would also be part of this position. Successful candidates are: detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task. The ideal candidate should also possess good telephone skills and good computer skills. As a Customer Service Rep, you may be asked to enter applications, set appointments for the agent, handling customer questions and phone calls, and supporting the agent in the maintenance of customer information and insurance registers. An insurance license is required, or candidate must be willing to get Property/Casualty license. All candidates would need acceptable credit and an acceptable motor vehicle report.
This is a part-time position, 16-20 hours a week with an hourly base pay plus bonus.
Sales and Marketing
- Coordinate agency prospecting through direct mail, company prospecting programs and Personal Insurance Reviews.
- Understand products, procedures and best practices for promoing policy growth and retention
- Maintain information in the agency's customer database.
Customer Relations
- Discuss insurance product offerings with current and potential customers
- Maintain high customer service standards to attract and retain customers
- Advise customer of claims and billing policies and procedures as needed
- Respond to inquiries, issues, and complaints
