Job Description


APC is seeking a Systems Analyst for a position in Charlotte, NC. This individual will work as Monitor Policy Writer on the server monitoring team.

-Write monitor policies for the HP Operations Manager (OVO) 8.x environment.  ( Not looking for someone who has managed OVO environments or deployed agents in general - must have done more than just managed OVO)
-24/7 shop - will have on call duties once every five weeks or so
-Must sit on site in Charlotte Monday-Friday


Job Requirements

 

 Job Requirements:
Must have Policy Writer experience and must have written monitor policies

The following are the required skills
1)HP Operations Manager experience with Base Agent, Performance Agent and the SPIs (Exchange, AD, SQL, etc.)
2)experience with developing OM policies (1-2 years minimum experience
3)WMI database knowledge
4)Experience with regular expressions (needed for logfile policy development)
5) Visual Basic experience

Desired Skills
1)Perl experience a plus
2) Experience with setting metrics in OM 8.x
3) Experience with UNIX and Windows version of the OM software
4) Experience with HP BAC Tool - creating and running BPM transactions.
5) Experience with HP Performance Manager
