Prescription Order Entry Specialist

Description - Prescription Order Entry Specialist: Skilled Care Pharmacy is a privately owned long-term care pharmacy serving over 10,000 patients throughout the states of Ohio and Kentucky. We have a very dedicated staff that is focused on doing it right the first time. Our family friendly team-based work atmosphere allows our employees to really enjoy what they are doing. We are currently seeking individuals to join our Prescription Order Entry Team.

Essential Job Description - Prescription Order Entry Specialist:

Data Entry of new and refill prescription orders.
Research, communicate and follow-up with facility regarding processing issues.
Minimum data entry speed is 30 orders per hour.
Identifies orders that cannot be processed due to coverage issues, missing information or inability to read / understand.

Requirements

Requirements - Prescription Order Entry Specialist:

This position requires the ability to type 40+ words per minute with accuracy and a high attention to detail.
Required Education: High School.
1-2 years direct work experience in health related field.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of Medicare / Medicaid / Insurance Pay types, medical terminology and brand / generic medications.
Shift available:

Tuesday-Friday 11 am - 7:45 pm plus Saturday 8:00 am - 4:45 pm

**Includes a holiday rotation**
