Description Acts as a resource to employees answering first-line questions related to company practices, guidelines and procedures * Performs a variety of general tasks in areas such as payroll, employment/employee records, compensation, benefits administration; learning, development and recruitment * Maintains payroll and employment records, collects and compiles sensitive and confidential statistics and prepares reports as required
Requirements

·Compile payroll data, such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, adjustments, garnishments and related payroll information (from time sheets and/or other data sources)

 

·Prepare computer input forms, enter data into computer files, compute wages, adjust all deductions accordingly and post to payroll records bi-weekly.

 

·Recruits and schedules interviews; identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures that policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance; plans and conducts new employee orientation; conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate

 

·Keeps record of benefit plan participation, such as life, health, dental, insurance and pension plan as well as disability insurance pensions; administers to above programs, in addition to responding and documenting all instances of vacation, sick leave, leave of absence and employee assistance; investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier

 

·As a quality team member, responsible to meet with other quality team members to assist, direct, maintain quality systems and provide training, as needed

 

·Ensures compliance with applicable state and federal laws with regard to payroll and independent contractors

 

·Responsible for administration of training programs & requirements to ensure compliance with government agencies

 

·May perform other duties as assigned

 

Skills/Education Required for Position:

 

·Four year college degree or university program certificate upon request

 

·1 to 5 years work experience required

 

·Good communication and computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets, payroll, Internet software e-mail (Outlook), database software, contact management programs
