JOB DESCRIPTION: The Account Manager is responsible for the development and growth of sales in his/her territory. Identifies and solicits potential new accounts. Services existing accounts by providing timely information about Mexicana’s service and destinations and must have a thorough understanding of the Market and economic conditions affecting sales and overall business efforts. Monitors all competitive activity in his/her assigned territory. Assists customers with the resolution of problems or with special requests. This position reports directly to the Zone Director Sales East, US.
Requirements
1. Five (5) years experience with Mexicana or seven (7) years experience in the travel industry. Comprehensive knowledge of Company policies and procedures related to fares, reservations and scheduling is necessary as well as ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiative. Candidates with sales experience and public speaking will receive preferential consideration.
2. A primary college degree or its equivalent. Seven (7) years of related airline experience in this field will be considered an acceptable alternative to the minimum degree requirement.
3. Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet.
4. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
5. Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision.
6. Able to lift at least 30 pounds and transfer boxes with brochures and promotional materials.
7. Willing to travel due to business necessity and/or relocate to any area designated by the US and Canada Office.
8 Must achieve a passing score in a test to be determined by the Human Resources Office, United States and Canada.
9. MUST HAVE LEGAL EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
