Position Overview

The Mobile X-Ray Repair Technician will work performing component level repair and calibration primarily on GE AMX mobile x-ray systems and other models of portable units.

Essential Job Functions

  • Verify problem reported and document findings on field returned products.
  • Troubleshoot, identify failure mode and repair to component level, ability to document relevant repair actions in detail to facilitate failure analysis. .
  • Evaluate and prepare cost estimates on products returned for upgrade and/or repair.
  • Setup and perform board level, subassembly, system and calibration tests. Interpret test results ensuring products being tested meet performance specifications.
  • Work closely with Customer Service Representatives in reporting anomaly observed during troubleshooting.
  • Provide support to technical team and/or customer on product service issues.
  • Maintain test fixtures, test equipment and calibration stations in good working condition.
Requirements
  • 2 years relevant experience in repair of medical devices and/or x-ray systems product repair experience.
  • ASEE or equivalent degree.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in troubleshooting analog and digital circuitry
  • Experience in repair of basic x-ray systems
  • Component soldering skill and board repairs
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks on schedule, be flexible in accommodating shifting priorities.
  • A team player and able to work in cross-functional environment.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
