Our client, an large insurance underwriter, is searching for an Operations Manager for their NYC office.  This role will report into the VP of Operations for the Commercial Marine Group and will be responsible coordinating multiple administrative and financial functions for mulitple insurance business lines.  The ideal candidate will manage day to day administrative operations and work with Underwriters, Finance and IT.  This role will require supporting the various business needs of the units and manage the operations staff. 

-manage all operations in support of underwriting

-oversee receivables

-recruit, train and develop staff

-develop and manage project plans

-contribute to management reporting

Required:

-5 plus years in Insurance Operations with management experience

-Commercial marine experience
-4 year degree

-strong analytical skills

-Great people manager

-project management experience

-experience managing staffs at remote locations
