Position:  Polyethylene  Additive Development  Associate

                   PE   Additives

 

Location: Greenville , South Carolina

 

Salary: $85,000-$105,000

 

Duties:  Lead activities that result in the development and commercialization of additives for use in polyethylene resins.

 

Education desired:  At least a BS in engineering, chemistry, polymer science, or other related degree.  Advanced degree desireable.

 

Experience desired:  7 - 12 years of experience in polymer industry.  Experience in the area of resin design, formulation, and manufacturing is critical.  Experience in polymer application development and customer support is a bonus.

 

Skills / Knowledge desired and demonstrated:

-able to communicate well with research chemists, customers (converters, resin companies), marketing and sales teams, and application development teams.

          -work well in a team environment

          -creative

          -history of issued patents

          -understanding of intellectual property

          -able to support customers with technical advice and hands on activity

          -leadership potential

          -knowledge of market trends

-understanding of the relationship between various resin production processes, catalyst systems, and their impact on processing performance.

-understanding and experience in film market- technical needs, processing equipment, resin relationship to processing and physical properties.

 

Key Products additives  are used in: Film, Pipe, & Blow Molding
