Tool Design Engineer

 

Seeking a dynamic individual to play an integral role in driving and supporting business goals and objectives for profitable, sustainable growth.  The right candidate should have a proven track record of providing design engineering service and technical support for new and existing products and tooling to be manufactured using Unigraphics (NX).

Core Responsibilities:

·         Responsibilities include development of tooling and manufacturing concepts with the project engineers.

·         Ability to design the products and tools effectively and efficiently per part and process requirement. 

·         Assignments vary between part modeling, tool designing, drafting, and NC programming.

·         Understands the manufacturing processes, metal working behavior of materials, and the release system of engineering documents.

·         Provides support for the immediate need to shop floor request, and participate in problem solving.

·         Works closely with engineering and manufacturing personnel to develop and encourage team -work.

·         Able to work over time on an as needed basis.

·         Support company policy, procedures, and safety policies.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: 

·         Working knowledge of Unigraphics and Catia CAD/CAM systems, Microsoft Word based computer software, manufacturing information systems, and Auto-Cad system.  Additionally, the use of software for project management, simulation, statistical, and financial analysis is helpful.

 

 

Education Requirements: 

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and three to five years of relevant CAD/CAM experience, or a Master of Science degree in Engineering and one to three years of CAD/CAM experience, or eight to ten years of relevant CAD/CAM work with appropriate vocational training.
