THE CHALLENGE

 

Sterling Engineering, Inc is assisting a premier client in their search for an experienced and talented Sr. Process Engineer.  This position will be responsible for managing capital projects, administering corporate goals at the plant level, training/supervising technicians and engineers, and process improvement responsibilities for cost reductions, quality improvements, scrap/waste reduction, and improved product reliability.

 

 

 

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

 

  •  Troubleshoots mechanical or electrical equipment issues and provides technical leadership and training to resolve issues.
  •  Develops, writes, implements, submits and/or presents various technical reports or CARs in support of cost reduction, new product, reliability and safety initiatives.
  •  Supervises technicians and junior engineers.
  •  Manage medium to large capital projects and develops portions of AOP.
  • Typically has technical responsibility for a group of departments or product line including the technical budget for same.
Requirements

 

PREFERRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

 

  • MUST HAVE BS in Engineering along with 5+ years of applicable Process improvement related experience in plastics converting, blown film, or extrusion.
  • Solid communications skills, both written and verbal, required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and establish priorities.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
