Description

We are looking for a candidate to provide training to non-clinical end users of the Allscripts EHR software application. This position will play a key role in the implementation of the EHR at remote sites. Training experience and background in Healthcare is essential. Strong presentation, organizational and communications skills required. Must have excellent customer service skills and be results oriented. Experience with practice management systems and electronic health records preferred.

 

This is a project position with a term of 18-24 months.

 

Requirements include:

 

  1. Train non-clinical staff on the new application through trainer led instruction and one-on-one coaching.
  2. Perform non-clinical training both at practices sites and corporate facility
  3. Promptly address outstanding issues to Practice Project Manager.
  4. Assesses the learner's mastery of new skills and provides related feedback to Practice Project Manager and Practice Manager.
  5. Assesses employee skill levels; deliver training program consistent with learner’s skill level and job requirements.
  6. Provide go live coaching and support.
  7. Routinely review the course content and submit revisions with end user feedback
  8. Complete train the trainer certification process as required
  9. Must be able to work non-standard hours. Includes travel throughout Connecticut.
  10. Complete weekly status reports.
Requirements

Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, and to conduct engaging and effective training to diverse audiences including medical office staff.
  • Ability to deliver electronic health record application training to office staff.
  • Willingness to learn and implement a variety of teaching methodologies
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures
  • Superior customer service
  • Superior organization and time management
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel locally a must.

 

Education/Experience :

  • 3+ Yrs experience in a healthcare environment
  • 1+ Yrs experience as a trainer or supervisor preferred
  • Strong computer skills required & ability to learn new software a MUST
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with healthcare applications; including practice management and/or electronic health records preferred
