Child Care Instructor (part-time)

Corning Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Child Care Instructor at its Child Care Center to assist Head Child Care Instructors with the supervision of morning child care workers and the planning and implementation of curriculum.  This position will also oversee the work of afternoon child care workers.    

This position is 30 hours per week /15 weeks per semester with a starting salary of $8.50 per hour.

The successful candidate will have the ability to supervise others and work cooperatively in a team environment; knowledge of childhood developmental stages; excellent interpersonal skills; and physical condition commensurate with demands of position.   Minimum qualifications include: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Associate’s Degree in early childhood, child development or a related field and one year of teaching experience in a in a child care center, family or group family day care home, or other early childhood program.
