Account Manager/Outside Sales - Brooklyn/Queens, NY
Position Summary: Account Manager is responsible for managing and sourcing new Staples Copy & Print Shop and Best Copy customers targeting mid to large-size businesses in the area and developing relationships that lead to additional sales of company products and services. In addition, they are also responsible for increasing the sales volume of current Staples Copy and Print Shop and Best Copy customers in the store’s trading area.
General Purpose: Customer Service, Results, Business Development, Account Management
Role Qualifications:
- Prospect and develop new Staples customer relationships; driving more footsteps into the store.
- Develop new business primarily through prospecting, in-person contacts, phone follow-up, and sales presentations.
- Implement sales strategy and ensure the company meets revenue and profit objectives through new business development and maintenance of existing accounts.
- Establish, build and expand relationships with existing and potential customers at multiple levels in the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Track and monitor accounts in salesforce.com program
- Partner with store management team on the development of key customer accounts and attainment of incremental sales goals.
- Increase total product spend and retention rates among our existing business customer primarily in the copy and print shop.
- Establish strong community ties with the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses organizations.
- Through in person contacts (cold calling, prospecting) identify and develop existing Staples business customers at the administrative, management and senior management levels.
- Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Effectively coordinate & manage sales activities
