Staff Accountant

Duties:

Maintain multiple general ledgers and prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as required to timely and accurately close the monthly fiscal period.

Prepare monthly reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances.

Analyzes financial information detailing fixed assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.

Prepare tax packages.

 

Skills:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of accounting theory, principles and practices

Knowledge of the financial accounting process

Ability to prepare statistical and accounting reports

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to organize work independently

Ability to self-start and meet reporting deadlines

Ability to work well with others  

Ability to organize work independently and consistently achieve reporting deadlines

 

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting with one to three years of general ledger accounting experience is highly preferred.
