Job Description 

This rapidly growing Fortune 200 steel manufacturing company is known for being the safest, highest quality, lowest cost, most productive and most profitable steel company in the world.  They maintain operating facilities primarily in the U.S. This company is known for its strong emphasis on teamwork/employee relations, quality, productivity, and technological leadership.  They have a streamlined organizational structure, incentive-based compensation systems, rigorous quality systems, and an aggressive pursuit of innovation and technical excellence.

 

This company is looking for an IT Systems Analyst to join their growing team. 

 

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications

An ideal candidate will:

- Possess a firm understanding and demonstrated ability to implement networking concepts including VLANs, routing, VPNs and access lists in a Cisco environment

- Be familiar with Active Directory, WINS, DNS, Exchange, Hitachi SAN, and Atempo backup solutions

- Work well in a team environment where safety comes fist:

- Always strive to work hard and encourage others team members to do so;

- Possess outstanding troubleshooting skills;

- Create, develop and implement new ideas to reach company goals.

 

The responsibilities of this position include:

- Developing and implementing network communications systems;

- Working with division personnel to integrate IT systems with plant operating systems;

- Field work in a mill environment including but not limited to cabling terminations and network gear installations;

- Staying current on new technologies and training/guiding others.

 


Job Requirements 

Preferred Qualifications:

- CCNA or higher Cisco Certification;

- Experience in deployment of new systems and integration of existing systems;

- The ability to balance working on long-term projects while handling immediate administrative and field related duties;

- Willingness to respond to after-hours calls and travel as needed.
