Description
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – Supervises personnel at the registration desk and at the billing desk.
Supervises personnel at the registration desk and at the billing desk.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
:
• Ensures front office functioning correctly via communications with the billing department.
• Monitors patient demographic entry for correctness via “fatal" report. Corrects “fatals."
• Assists in interview process for hiring front desk, appointments, cashier, and PBX personnel.
• Schedules front office personnel to maintain adequate coverage for each desk.
• Holds responsibility for accuracy and completeness of work of front desk, including entering of demographics, insurance issues,
scheduling appointments, printing tickets, and reconciliations.
• Ensures patients flow through clinic in a smooth and efficient manner.
• Ensures PBX operators answer phones promptly and politely and release proper and accurate information.
• Assumes responsibility for reconciliations and preparation of bank deposits at the end of the day.
• Reviews front office complaints, investigates problems, corrects random errors, and works with
• practice manager to make systematic changes to correct recurring problems.
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct" philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement".
Requirements
• Knowledge of clinic office procedures.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping.
• Knowledge of the Medic system.
• Knowledge of medical practices terminology.
• Ability to organize, delegate, and supervise.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Skill in using computer systems and applications.
• Skill in operating office equipment.
EDUCATION - High school diploma or GED is required

EXPERIENCE – Medical Office Management background is required.
