GENERAL MANAGER

We are looking for a unique individual that is able to manage day to day operations and sales activities, ensure a high level of profitability, overall customer service and satisfaction, and achieve company goals to become our GENERAL MANAGER.
Your responsibilities will include
· Develop plans and strategies to improve the overall performance of the branch
· Increase market presence through innovative and hands on sales techniques
· Works as a liaison with various Home Office representatives.
· Coach and mentor team of service professionals to provide quality in-home service.
· Create goals and objectives for Management team to assume added responsibility.
· Total P&L responsibility
This energetic leader will be a mentor with a strong team orientation, have superior organizational and administrative skills, excellent communication, and a proven track record of increasing sales through creative and innovative sales techniques. A minimum of five years’ General Management experience in a service-related industry that may include retail, pest control, courier/package delivery, uniform, lawn care, security/protective services, car rental, and other related fields is desired. A minimum Associates’ Degree in business or related field is strongly preferred.

Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is the largest provider of plumbing and drain cleaning services in North America. In 1980, the Blanc family sold Roto-Rooter to Cincinnati-based Chemed Corporation, and Roto-Rooter moved its headquarters to Cincinnati. In 1986, Roto-Rooter was spun off as a public company, with Chemed retaining majority ownership. In August 1996, Roto-Rooter again became a wholly owned subsidiary when Chemed bought back all outstanding shares.
Roto-Rooter operates businesses in more than 100 company-owned branch and contractor territories and approximately 500 franchise operations, serving approximately 90% of the U.S. population and parts of Canada. Master franchise operations have been established in Japan, Philippines, Mexico, United Kingdom, Hong Kong/China and Indonesia/Singapore.
