Applies engineering principles and established design practices in developing moderately complex design concepts and deliverables.

Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.

Performs specific design functions for the project as assigned, process work assignments, and maintain schedules and records.

Provides work direction and guidance to others when needed.

Continuously evaluate the methods used to accomplish the design concept and drafting activities they have been assigned. If this evaluation indicates that a process can be simplified without sacrificing the integrity of the outcome, it should be discussed with the supervisor for possible implementation.

Ensures that the design concept and drawings are complete and to the best of their knowledge meet company requirements and applicable codes and standards.

Design concepts and drawings shall be compliant with the company Recommended Practices, sketches, notes, other input material and the Project Design Manual.

Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.
