Description
  • Responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction through expeditious, accurate processing of Teller transactions, supporting the Head Teller by assuming Head Teller duties and responsibilities as required and achieving personal sales goals.
  • Process Teller transactions pleasantly and accurately while observing Bank security.
  • Sell and cross sell appropriate bank products and services to meet customers’ needs.
  • Prepare/sell money orders, cashiers checks and Visa® Check and Gift Cards.
  • Sell and redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
  • Reconcile back counter work daily.
  • Balance Teller drawer daily.
  • Assist Head Teller and assume various duties and responsibilities in absence of Head Teller.
  • Assist with branch settlements, as well as opening and closing procedures.
  • Answer or refer customer inquires in person or by telephone. Conduct telephone calls to prospect and/or profile existing customers.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed, including processing night deposits or balancing ATM and coin machines.
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent education.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Teller procedures and 4 of more years of Teller experience, including satisfactory performance in Senior Teller position for a minimum of 1 year and consistent success in meeting referral goals and difference parameters, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Bank retail products and services and governmental regulations pertaining to branch banking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer relations and sales skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities desired.
  • Flexibility—able to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Sitting or standing for extended time periods.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Technology Requirements (Must either bring to job or learn on-the-job within 3 months): Excel, Word, Outlook, Jack Henry and other Related softwares
