Description
The American Urological Association is the premier association for the advancement of urologic patient care. We are actively recruiting a Continuing Medical Education Specialist.
Full time position reporting to the Manager of Scientific Education Programs. Responsible for coordination of Office of Education’s (OE) Hands-on courses at the Annual Meeting and assigned Surgical Learning Center (SLC) courses and Subject Oriented Seminar (SOS) courses. Collaborates with the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Compliance Officer to ensure accurate ACCME Accreditation record maintenance. Serves as administrative back up for CME functions including scanning and printing of transcripts, and Lap Committee and liaison to other committees as needed or created. Responsible for LOA’s in respect to all Hands-on Courses. Manages special projects as assigned.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
AA degree required; Four year college degree preferred. Three to four years customer service experience; two to three administrative experience with strong project management, data entry and overall computer skills; intermediate word processing skills required. Knowledgeable in computerized database maintenance, ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work in a fast paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Familiarity with medical terminology, a CME background, lab background, and experience with a pharmaceutical device company or other pharmaceutical industry experience a plus. Must have excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills (written and oral), including attention to detail. Must be flexible, cooperative, and customer focused, with excellent telephone and email etiquette. Professional attire and appearance are a must. Ability to lift and carry 25 pound or more. Willingness and ability to travel as needed on weekends several times a year and for up to 10 days once a year.
