Description
Configuration Data Management Assistant
Assist CDM and engineering personnel, under general supervision, in the implementation and coordination of CDM procedures. May concentrate in one or more of the areas of Configuration Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, Audits and provide administrative support in the management and transmittal of contractual data.
JOB DUTIES:
Primary:
1. Assists in the design change review process.
2. Logs, tracks, reports and reviews status of proposed design changes.
3. Creates part masters, document masters, and Bills of Material in ERP system.
4. Input release and change data records into ERP system; performs data file quality checks.
5. Create electronic (PDF) drawings and documents and control the released digital data documents.
6. Assists in compiling electronic data packages.
7. Assist in the processing of data for customer submittals.
Secondary:
1. Assists in compiling data for design reviews, special reports, and similar activities; may be assigned specific output.
2. Assists in supporting informal and formal configuration audits, completing discrete assigned tasks.
3. Prepare charts and reports as requested.
Requirements
Configuration Data Management Assistant
EXPERIENCE:
Approximately six years work experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, including at least two years in a Configuration Management environment. Note: A certificate of completion from an educational or industrial CM course. Seminar or workshop may be substituted for one year of experience. Strong knowledge of Configuration Management forms and files is required. Ability to perform a variety of routine and repetitive tasks, with frequent interruptions, in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to work in a variety of computer programs.
