Description
1- Perform inspections as per Amgen Construction Safety Program (ACSP) requirements on capital projects to ensure contractor’s conformance and compliance, (inspections frequency set by CECP-safety depending on project complexity and risks), Identify and document contractor’s non-compliance and non-conformance and take necessary corrective actions to ensure 100% compliance.
2- Monitor safety performance of construction contractor(s) and subcontractor(s), to include but not limited to: safety risk assessments, corrective actions, compliance, incident investigation, safety metrics and reporting, safety scheduling, field workforce registration and progress. The role involves interfacing with contractor(s), subcontractor(s), management firms(s), and Amgen personnel.
3- Participate in project safety planning and development of project specific safety requirement, project status meetings.
4- Review contractors/projects safety deliverables such as but not limited to: JHA, SSH&SP, IIPP, and all other project safety related documentation
5- Implementing 'work downs' when necessary to refocus safety efforts as determined by safety metrics (incidents and accidents rates/trends)
6- Use Amgen provided inspection aids to document non-compliance and non-conformance
7- Work under minimal supervision and directions of Amgen CECP Field Compliance Manager (US-1), and Amgen Project Manager (APM)
8- Travel to other Amgen project sites (possible travel locations: Seattle, and/or San Francisco)
9- Work hours: 40 to 45 hours per week (Mon-Fri,), all travel expenses to and from other Amgen sites will be reimbursed by Amgen
10- Conflict of interest clause, (while working for Amgen; can not supply safety related services to other companies associated with Amgen projects or any other projects outside of Amgen)
