PersonalCare of Illinois, a leader in the managed care industry, is looking for a Sales Representative with dynamic communication skills and a strong results-oriented drive.
This position is responsible for increasing membership in the small group or micro employer segments (2-50 employees) through telephone prospecting and direct enrollment. This includes prospecting both directly and through broker channels to prospective employers, rate quoting, proposal generation and directly closing new business where appropriate. Accountable for achieving company defined sales objectives. May work with a designated Account Executive to assist in the support of sales initiatives. This is an inside sales role, working with employer groups, qualifying them and providing rate quotes and information regarding suitable Coventry health plans through written proposal or oral presentation.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- High school degree or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years successful sales experience preferred, preferably in health insurance industry.
- MUST HAVE IL LICENSE to sell insurance -- required.
- Prior telesales experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently yet contribute to team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales quotas.
- Strong knowledge of sales cycle.
- Familiarity with service area broker community helpful.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong results-orientation and ability to prioritize and manage workload according to monthly deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills required.
