Senior Network Engineer-Columbia

Senior Network Engineer position to provide support in the areas of new product and business development, network engineering, configuration and deployment assistance. The engineer will work as part of a system design team to research emerging technologies and conduct network architecture development in classified and unclassified environments for a diverse Government client base. Responsibilities will include developing compliant solutions to customer RFPs, consulting with customers and supporting pre-sales engineering efforts, documenting complex customer complex requirements and developing potential system solutions. Responsibilities also include Information Assurance platform architecture development, cryptographic systems maintenance, and providing technical progress updates to program management as part of system deployments. The engineer will be required to determine appropriate network implementations based on project requirements, suggesting the most appropriate network configurations while balancing requirements, schedule and cost. The position requires technical expertise with WAN transport technologies, strong interpersonal skills, technical writing skills and excellent organization. An ACTIVE TS/SCI security clearance with full scope poly is REQUIRED

Required Degrees / Accreditations / Skills:
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, EE or equivalent. 10 years experience in network engineering, concept development and systems architecture definition. Significant experience with the logical, physical, functional, operational, and technical architecture of large and complex information systems is required. A demonstrated ability to design, install, and configure complex distributed networks involving enterprise class routers, switches, and encryption gear including Cisco and Juniper.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Type 1 cryptographic equipment fundamentals and troubleshooting skills (TACLANE/KG-175, KIV-19, KG-194, etc). HAIPE Network Encryption Technologies. Familiarity with Federal Government networks, especially DoD (e.g., DRSN, DISN, GIG-BE, DVS, NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS) is a plus. Knowledge of IPv6 and its impact on future network designs.
A Masters degree is desired. Active Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification. Juniper experience is a desirable. Additional vendor certifications are a plus (ie, CCIE, JCNIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, etc) General Dynamics Taclane or other cryptographic equipment certifications.
